About Us
In January 1983, Rob Armstrong opened a Texas office for a leading vacuum component company. Eighteen months later, he formed Telesis High Vacuum as a Manufacturer’s Representative firm focused on the growing vacuum technology market in the Southwest. Two years later, his friend and neighbor Mike Whiteside joined the company. Over the years, the company has operated as a Rep firm and, for certain products and markets, a Distributor business.
Over the years, a range of synergistic products were added to our portfolio.
In the early 2000’s the company added thermal processing equipment as a second core market. The name was changed to Telesis HV, LLC to reflect that change.
Telesis now focuses on vacuum, thin film, thermal processing and metrology. We are proud that our product lines consist of respected market leaders and that much our customer base is comprised of cutting-edge manufacturing and research in areas such as semiconductor, space exploration and autonomous vehicles. We think stability is one of the keys to our success.
When asked, “what do you do?”
We say, “we are involved in Nanotechnology and high-tech emerging markets.” On our best days, we feel that we’re still school children enjoying a great field trip. Our customers are involved in transformational technology and love to show and tell us what they are doing. What could be more fun?
Rob recently celebrated his 38th wedding anniversary. He has three children and three grandchildren living in New York City, Nashville and here in Richardson.
Mike will be celebrating his 30th wedding anniversary. He has a daughter who lives in Dallas and a son in Austin.
We both live in Dallas. Our families are our pride and joy.
